Workshops foreign correspondence & freelancing

Two separate workshops will be organized for all students who signed up for it. The workshop on foreign correspondence will discuss the basics of foreign reporting and how to become a correspondent. The workshop on freelancing will offer hands-on methods, tips and assignments on how to tackle life as a freelance journalist.

This workshop will be held for 3rd-year students and will tackle topics such as stereotypes, the World System Theory, Global Journalism and Constructive Journalism.

At this public conference I will participate in a panel discussion about how foreign reporting focuses on a limited number of countries and how events in the rest of the world go unnoticed. The causes of this attention imbalance and the measures that could be taken to address it will be discussed.
